🌐WELCOME TO PLANET IX
Planet IX: A New Era of Web3 Gaming
Are you ready for a truly immersive gaming experience that bridges the digital and physical worlds? Look no further than Planet IX, the online crypto game based on Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Our NFTs act as in-game assets and utilities, with many requiring burning or breeding to progress further in the game. But Planet IX is more than just a game; it's an evolving ecosystem of multi-layered player journeys that will keep you engaged for hours on end.
The Metaverse Beckons
Unlike traditional games with a simple beginning, end, and happily-ever-after, Planet IX is a game that keeps evolving over time. As the game architecture grows in depth, you'll discover new features and mechanics that take Play-to-Earn and DeFi to new heights. Our goal is to create a truly groundbreaking gaming experience that will transport you to another world.
The Story of Planet IX
In the year 2089, climate change ravaged the planet, leaving it unable to sustain life. Citizens turned on each other, leading to civil unrest and ultimately world war. To resurrect civilization, a radical cell called Agents of Change (A.O.C.) was formed, led by Ame Valdis. Their plan was to de-life Earth and destroy all living things, including human history, art, culture, architecture, and digital archives. When they left Earth in search of new planets, all talk of the old world was forbidden.
Fast forward to the present day, the year 2539. An AI system known as A.M.E. has been on a voyage through time and space and has detected a habitable planet - Planet IX. A.M.E. had humans with special skills called Agents of Change on board her ship in a controlled comatose state, using a cryo-bed system. On Planet IX, our players are the A.O.C. with a mission to restore the planet and make it habitable once again.
The Waters of Genesis
The first season in the Planet IX story is Waters of Genesis, where the planet is barren and lifeless. The air is polluted, and the planet is littered with waste and debris. The A.O.C.'s mission is to restore Earth to once again flourish and become a habitable planet using a number of assets built on the digital land called PIX.
The Basics of the Game
The digital plots of land on Planet IX are called PIX, and each PIX is a unique NFT, providing irrevocable ownership that is documented on the Polygon blockchain network. As the game and story unfolds, players are treated to expansive lore set on a broken planet in the distant future. The game's progression is dependent on the collective efforts of the players, who need to strategize, trade, sell and buy PIX inside this futuristic yet topical metaverse. The in-game economy is meticulously crafted to provide players with a multitude of strategic trade-offs without compromising the player’s ability to form communities and express themselves creatively.
Marketplace and Trading
Planet IX has its own proprietary marketplace called NETEMPIRE, where players can trade their PIX as they wish. The Marketplace fee is set to 5%, and will be distributed differently depending on whether the PIX is traded in a landmark zone or not. As the marketplace develops further, the fees might be subject to change. The power of decentralization is that players will be able to have a voice in any changes made to in-game functions.
IXT: The Key to Playing Planet IX
IXT is a token built on the ERC-20 standard and is part of the Polygon Network. As a fungible token, each IXT has the same value and type as any other IXT. In the Planet IX ecosystem, IXT serves as in-game currency, rewards, and confers voting rights. It is the only ERC-20 token in the game economy and is essential for playing the game, trading, and purchasing assets.
To create a sustainable in-game economy and incentivize players, IXT tokenomics are engineered to include an innovative custom play-to-earn model. This model rewards active players and stakeholders, developed by our statistical team. The gamification of a fungible asset is the very foundation on which the game relies.
IXT benefits from a four-year vesting schedule, optimized to ensure the stability of the game for a decade to come. With a total issuance of 153 million IXT, Planet IX has a considerably lower total issuance than its main competitors, whose average issuance is around 2 billion.
In conclusion, IXT is the key to playing Planet IX. Its unique features and tokenomics create a sustainable in-game economy that rewards active players and stakeholders while ensuring the game's stability for years to come.
PIX
Planet IX is a virtual copy of Earth that has been divided into 1,684,607,257 hexagons using the H3geo system. Each of these hexagons is referred to as a PIX and is a unique ERC-721 Token (NFT). Once sold, the PIX is generated in the game's backend and inscribed in a proprietary Merkle Tree. This enables off-chain assets to be connected to a WEB3 wallet through their hashes. The PIX is then minted as soon as it is involved in a transaction.
The PIX is categorized into five rarities and nine different biomes. A PIX's two-dimensional classification is determined solely by its geographical location. For instance, a PIX in central Paris is classified as a Legendary Capital City Center, while a PIX in outer Siberia might be an Arctic Outlier.
PIX can be acquired through weekly pack drops or purchased from other players on the proprietary Planet IX Marketplace.
TERRITORIES
Territories on Planet IX are the foundation of the game and are made up of individual PIX that are connected to unlock more game mechanics and generate rewards. Territories are more valuable than individual PIX since they can be staked for rewards denominated in IXT.
A Territory is a collection of between 10 to 1000 PIX that are all adjacent to at least one other PIX in the collection. The main strategic objective for players is to collect PIX and develop territories on Planet IX to maximize their potential resource production.
To develop a territory, a player must obtain a sufficient number of adjacent PIX and mint the collection of PIX into a new Territory NFT. The minting process is manifested in a burn mechanism where players send a cluster of adjacent PIX to a burn address and in turn receive a newly minted Territory NFT.
The number of PIX required to form a particular type of territory depends on the tier. There are four main types of Territory NFTs: AREA, SECTOR, ZONE, and DOMAIN. DOMAIN requires the largest number of total PIX to form. Multiple PIX are linked together to create a Cluster, but players are only allowed to mint a new Territory NFT once they link enough adjacent PIX together to form an AREA.
